4/5 on yellowfins and a mahi, mixed reports….
Sorry we didn’t post a report earlier guys! Happy 4th of July! As some of you may have been hearing we are getting a mix of reports, from as far south as the Washington to as far north as the Wilmington, just like we said on our live stream Wednesday night, you could go to just about any canyon right now and have a shot! One of our members Brandon F. was one of the first messages we got yesterday am from a member and he got his in the South Baltimore! However the rest of his day was pretty slow, we also had another member go 1-2 on yellowfin in the Baltimore. Then we had reports from our member James running our of Cape May that he went 4 for 5 on yellowfins up in the Wilmington, as well as a couple other boats that got them up there! As for us, it was a gametime decision, if it was to rough to go south we were headed north, but we got out of the inlet and pointed south, and the ride was smooth, so Jeff went to the Washington in hopes of avoiding crowds, and off a gut feeling he had, last year around this same time we had a similar predicament and everyone went north but Jeff went south and got a big eye and 4 yellowfins, so he went with his gut feeling and luckily it paid off for us! However we have had that backfire before too, where members tore em up and we got skunked, point is we do our best to give you guys our thoughts and where we think you’ll have the best odds of catching fish, and sometimes you gotta make those last minute game time decisions, and sometimes they pay off other times they cost ya! At the end of the day no matter how much technology we have and reports and satellites and sonar etc. it is still fishing for wild amazing creatures that we will continue to learn about and be fascinated by! Enjoy the 4th, I’ll do my best to pop on later and give you guys sn update from today, Jeff is out again this morning, I’m guessing in that same area north of the Washington.
