Still waiting on a good shot, more yellowfins caught…
Well the boys from PYY Marine made the long haul on their new 39’ Yellowfin and got into some similar action as we did! There is still a small piece of that eddy left about 120-130 miles east, and clearly was still holing some nice yellowfins! They had multiple cover ups and ended up going 8 for 11 with the biggest at 80lbs! We also heard whispers of a couple yellowfins in the Washington at sunrise, but then seemed dead the rest of the day. Based off what we can tell, it appears that eddy has begun blending in and breaking apart, with some getting sucked back into the gulf, and other small bits and pieces pushing inshore, maybe that explains the few random yellowfins in the Washington, either way we are excited and waiting for our next opportunity to get out and get after em! We’re also getting closer and closer to our app being ready to use, it is gonna be awesome and soon as it’s ready we’ll have more details on how you all will be able to access that! If you are fishing in the next few days, Baltimore or Poormans seems like a safe bet and Washington could be worth checking out as well, the big eyes are around, still some bluefin, and the yellowfin should be shown up more and more as the water continues to heat up, a good Sat shot will help tremendously! Tight lines and stay bent!
