The boys got a limit by lunch! Good reports from other members too!

Well the Washington canyon was loaded just like we thought! Jeff, Alex and crew got their limit of yellowfins this morning by 12:30pm! Sounds like they were biting just about everything in the spread! We also got reports from our member Capt. Chase Eberle of Chasin Tide’s, they went 4 for 6 on yellowfins at the 461 lump (37° 30.060’ 73° 12.000’) in south poormans! So it sounds like they are still spread out between south of the Washington Canyon to as far north as the 461 Lump just south of Poormans, but they are in higher concentrations in some areas for sure. We like that section of water that is pretty much inside the canyon or 200-400 fathoms even as deep as 5-600 on some passes, 68-70 degrees, nice pretty blueish blend, the fish are there! We also had a report from another member James who ran down from Ocean City NJ to the Poormans and he actually got covered up with some 60” class bluefin! They killed 2 and pulled the others off, then also managed to go 1 for 3 on yellowfin as well, was a morning flurry of action but the rest of their day was slow until they switched over to tile fishing! Let’s just hope the tuna stick around through June and July and continue to push in closer and thicker! After last summer this is starting to feel like a fever dream, but it’s only June 17th we won’t get to carried away yet, just take advantage why they are definitely here and chewing! Friday is up in the air weather wise, but sure it will be crowded by the weekend, if you can get out tomorrow early and deal with a little south wind on the way home, that’s your best bet! I also have a theory that once the fleet and weekend warriors all get word of the bite and get out and put some real pressure on these fish, they may start to move around a bit, and I’m afraid if there isn’t any good water for them or bait stacked up for them to follow, they may cruise up north or back out to the Gulf Stream, but let’s hope not. A decent sat shot would be great right about now, but the fog and cloud cover has made it tough, luckily our app is still able to predict areas of high fish activity based off the last 10 days of data and commercial fishing activity, we looked and it said the Washington would be a hot spot or high activity area, and it sure was! Tight Lines and Stay Bent!!

PS Hope you all are enjoying the app! It seems to be showing the hot spots perfectly from what we can see, and the commercial boats are working the same areas too! Awesome to see it all working how it’s supposed to for the most part! We are still working on having it run smoother on mobile platforms as well! Thanks for all the feedback and if you have any other questions email us alwaysbentfishing@gmail.com or jeff@alwaysbent.com you can always DM on social media if that’s easier too!
