We may have jumped the gun, we called off our trip this am…
We are so excited and itching to get out there we may have jumped the gun, we thought that water was moving faster than it is, and west winds don’t help matters both holding the water to the west and would of been a rough ride home from the canyons, and the water is still just to far out past 1000 fathoms. We are hoping by Tuesday pieces of that water east of Baltimore could at least be inside a 1000 fathoms, but we will have to keep a close eye on it. We’ll also be keeping an eye on the Norfolk, right now there is a beautiful piece of blue warm water just a little to far south for us to run, but it could slide north. There’s def some beautiful warm water also pouring into the area around the tunnel and also sliding up our coastline, which is why we went on a bit of a unicorn hunt in search of bull reds or early cobia close to the beach, we cruised south down the beach and then. out to winter quarter, but every time we saw fish or had marks it was bluefish lol lots of them, every cast, but was still fun on light tackle! Never know unless you go! We keep hearing reports of bluefin spotting in close within 5-20 miles but we have yet to see them inshore only out on the 100 line and in canyons. Again we’ll be keeping a close eye on things over the next 24-48 hours, sorry for the false alarm, tight lines and stay bent!
