Weather cooperated but not the tuna
As beautiful as it was yesterday, boats had trouble getting the tuna to bite, lots of tilefish and mahi caught yesterday. The inconsistent bite trend is continuing, but I don’t think it’s gonna last too long. We have a few different filaments and Eddys beginning to form off our coast that could hopefully turn the bite on! There is a nice band of Bluewater pushing down into the Lindenkohl and Spencer canyon that may reach the Wilmington by Tuesday. There’s also a stretch just outside of Poormans, and another big area down just south of the Norfolk. If you add in the inshore lumps there is lots of options of places to fish and potentially have success! For now we will be keeping an eye on the blue water and eddy to our north and see what happens out there today! Tight lines!
