It’s far out there, but it’s holding yellowfins!
As most of you probably saw by now we went 5 for 7 on yellowfin’s yesterday! Right in that eddy we’ve been watching and talking about, would of been nice if it slid in closer but we couldn’t wait any more so we made the 130 mile trek 40 miles past the Baltimore and found the hard break! Once we did it was game over, multiple cover ups, they seemed to want meat/ballyhoos, we only got two bites on a spreader bar, the rest were all on meat! Break went from 64 to 70 degrees, nice hard break and beautiful water, but once we had 5 nice yellowfin in the fishbox we decided it would be best to head closer to home lol we didn’t end up stopping for bluefins but did see a few breaching along the 100 line just south of Baltimore and heard boats caught them in the Baltimore canyon yesterday as well. That long run isn’t something we do to often, but we are stoked it paid off! Really hoping this is a sign of a good summer of tuna fishing ahead, and hopefully a piece of that water will slide in closer so we don’t have to go so far lol
