More yellowfins caught today, still far out….
This is a 6.4.25 1am shot from a new imagery provider we got for the app we’ve been building more about that later! Another day and boats are making the trek to that eddy and it is continuing to produce great fishing, with boats catching both trolling and casting, we got all of our bites trolling on Monday and as we said they mostly ate the meat they were keyed in on the ballyhoos, we’ve also heard plastics are working well too. With the hurricane system to the south moving north towards the east coast it may shake the water up a bit, we’re also forecasted to have some easterly winds which also could help blow the eddy closer into the 100 line and canyons. When and if that happens the fishing will be lights out, it has continued to provide great fishing, yellowfin have been caught in that eddy everyday since last Saturday, we’ve been blessed with calm conditions and there’s been at least one or two boats or more that have made the trek, and not one has been skunked that we know of so that’s 5 days in a row of great fishing, hopefully a sign of a good summer of tuna fishing! As you members know (and new members you can go back through the history of our reports and see) we’ve been tracking and following this piece of water since mid May and already made the trek once as far back as April (that was a different piece of water) but this is our passion its what we love to do go out and hunt down these fish and figure out where they live what they eat where they travel, and then using tools like oceanography, SST Satellite imagery, chlorophyl shots, and other data we’re able to predict where these fish will be and we love sharing that with you all and helping each other out and get what edge us “little guys” can without using omni sonar or paying thousands of dollars for multiple different reports. So we have been working hard behind the scenes to build a user friendly app that takes all the specific data we use from all the other different sites and apps and puts it all conveniently in one place. Imagine google maps or OnX maps etc. but you can overlay SST, Chlorophyll, weather, commercial fishing activity, literally all the tools we use to make our reports and decide where we want to fish, you’ll have real time live data on everything you need for pelagic species and even bottom fishing and contour maps! It is gonna be awesome, and you guys our members are gonna be the only ones with access to the app! It won’t be available in the App Store or google play store, you’ll be helping us test it and give us feedback on how you like it or things we can change! Of course that’s all optional and these daily updates will still continue as normal, it will just be another added bonus for members who want to try the app and dive into oceanography and predicting where these tuna will be! The shot above is one of the multiple SST imagery providers we’ll be using! We are so stoked for this summer and seeing how good the fishing gets and how good our members do! We may compete in tournaments verse each other sometimes but at the end of the day were all one big team at Always Bent! Tight lines and Stay Bent!
