Marlin, Wahoo, and Mahi

Well it’s officially starting to feel like fall, kids are back in school, but the fish are still biting! White Marlin bite has been hot per usual for this tie of year, with a nice mix of wahoo and mahi as well. Unfortunately not hearing much about tuna but that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there! There is a nice eddy right now right over top of The Baltimore and Poormans canyons, with a nice stretch of blue water spanning from the Wilmington as far south as the Poormans, and then another patch of Blue water in the Washington canyon as well, either of those could be good as both bodies of blue water have good moving current from the eddy in-between the two patches of blue water, there is also a good salinity edge on both the Washington side as well as the Baltimore side of the eddy! It’s that time of year where the billfish are ind of all over! As for tuna I’m still leaning towards going north to the Wilmington or south to the Norfolk, one extreme or the other, but we have no real tuna reports to go off of so anglers in search of tuna will have to get out and put in time. Let’s hope we get another run of bluefin this fall/winter, the bluefin are already getting fired up in Jersey and NY! Tight Lines well check in tomorrow!
