WMO comes to an end, fishing picking back up??

Well white marlin open has come and gone, and we are now in the tail end of summer. Was a tough tournament week between rough conditions and tough tuna fishing for most boats. We did get our bluefin bite on our final day Sunday and unfortunately it spit the hook in the first 60-90 seconds just never came all the way tight or hook wasn’t in good, it happens that’s fishing! A few other boats caught bluefin as well on Sunday and all caught relatively close to the beach, or inside 30 fathoms some as close as 10-15 fathoms! Over the weekend to the north seemed to be the hot spots Masseys, 19fm lump, elephant trunk, cigar, sea isle ridge, etc. Marlin bite continues to be decent in 500-1000fms of Norfolk and Washington. Mahi seem to be plentiful as well both inshore and in the deep! Let’s see how the ladies do this weekend with the Poor Girls Open! We’re also hearing whispers of yellowfins showing back up down south of the Norfolk…. tight lines and stay bent!
