Yellowfins tricky to locate, marlin bite consistent…

These yellowfin have been tricky to find! We saw a few boats having some luck down to the south just inside the 100 line, and then a few boats north of the Spencer having some luck in the blue water on the 100 line but nothing spectacular, or boats getting their limits, still seems like they have better fishing to the north right now. We have some water leaking inshore from the south down south of the Norfolk, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the VA Beach boats and Chincoteague boats are running down south of the Norfolk and finding them. The marlin bite seems to have been decent too at both the Washington and the Wilmington in that blue water, which has pushed in a little closer, some boats finding them inside 500fms. Mahi are defiantly around as well, haven’t seen a whole lot of them inshore but once you're out near the 100 line in that blue water they are def around! Lot’s of flying fish too, we’ll see what this water has in store for us as we get ready for the annual White Marlin Open next week! Gonna be an interesting one if the fishing stays the way it’s been, could be anybody’s tournament to win!! Tight lines and stay bent!!
