Battle for the Buckle Postponed….
Funny you can just look at the chlorophyl shot above and see where the warm/good water is LOL but not much has changed in the way of SST shots and offshore water since yesterdays report, however there has ben some changes to the tournament schedule! Unfortunately the weather is not looking great at all for this weekend, so they have decided to go ahead and postpone the Battle for the Buckle tournament to June 5-7th with registration being June 4th. I think this is for the best not only because of the rough conditions and weather forecast, but it will also give a chance for that good warm water holding yellowfins to push in closer to our canyons and the 100 line, otherwise if it did go down this weekend, it would have been a bluefin tournament for the most part lol only certain boats with the fuel capacity and ability to handle those conditions would be able to make it out far enough to even catch the yellowfins, so all in all I think it worked out for the best! Also just to update you all Jeff has been working super hard finalizing and finishing up this app we’ve built, you all our members will be the first to test out and try the app, and the only ones who will be able to see or use it! This is going to be a game changer! The only way I can explain it is one app/place/tool that has everything, you’ll select what your looking for whether its fishing vessel activity, chlorophyl, SST, altimetry, it will all be there, and pulling live real time data from all of our favorite websites and databases and display to you in the form of an overlay on “google maps” super cool high tech stuff, we are so excited! Gone are the days of having to go to 7 different websites for this or that, now you’ll be able to use “Always Bent Intelligence” and have everything you need all in one spot! Gonna be a game changer! As always thank you all for the support, as I’ve said we will still be using RipCharts as well and still doing these daily updates and reports, and giving our opinion on what we see, and catch reports etc. but for those who want to nerd out on ocean data the way we do, this tool/app is going to be your new favorite! Tight lines and stay bent! Talk soon!
